Discover Dinner with Rivertree
Rivertree will be offering a special Discover Dinner for all of those interested. It is a great way to learn more about specific ministries and how Rivertree can partner with you on your faith journey. Come and hear stories of those who "gather, grow, and go" and the hope we have for creating a vibrant church and reaching our city. The dinner will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Southside Gym. During the meal and presentation, you will meet key Rivertree leaders, learn about their mission, ministries, and find out ways to get involved as we share in an exciting work of God in Huntsville. Childcare coupons (reimbursement for babysitters) available. See Lisa Lowell for details. Register here.

Since 2007, Aggie’s Arts has bought craft items from a small group of ladies in the slums of Kampala, Uganda. God has used this organization to help the ladies and their families develop a spiritual community and grow in business and life skills. The time has come for our ladies to graduate from our program and begin independent local businesses. This will conclude our craft sales in the US.
As we conclude our operations in Uganda, we would like to offer the Southside Baptist Church body an opportunity to stock up on these wonderful products and even share them with your loved ones.
Please join us Sunday, December 16, for our Grand Finale! This will be our Very Last Public Event. We will be open for shopping during the Sunday School hour and after the church service.
All former sales prices will be disregarded and we will accept donations of any amount in exchange for any items you'd like to take off our hands. All Donations will go Directly to the Ladies of Aggie's Arts in the form of a Cash Grant. The ladies plan to use these funds to begin their new business.

The College and Career Friendsgiving Dinner has been changed to Sunday, November 18, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the College House (200 Westmoreland). All college and young career people are invited. Please bring a side dish, dessert or drink to share.
Packing a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child is about much more than giving a needy child a great Christmas present. It is an opportunity to share the Gospel and the love of Christ with the child and his/her family. It is an easy and fun project for families, groups, or individuals of all ages. The Samaritan’s Purse website has some great resources and suggestions.
Bring your shoe box to the Sanctuary on or before November 18.
On Saturday, November 17, 8:00 – 11:00 a.m., we are asking volunteers to come and help us spruce up our grounds. We need people with backpack blowers to clean up pine straw, and volunteers to use stump grinders. We would love it if volunteers could purchase and plant winter flowers in front of the sanctuary to help make the entrance more inviting. If anyone needs pine straw, we will have plenty! See James Walker or John Vaughn if you have any questions. Meet in the back parking lot.
