This year we are partnering with Mount Zion Baptist Church. On May 3 between 11:30-12:30 PM we will join Mount Zion in their sanctuary to pray for our country and community. We encourage all of Southside to attend if able. If work or other scheduling conflicts cause you to be unable to come, we encourage you to pray throughout the day.
Join us for this month’s potluck on April 29 at 6:00 PM in the gym. We will have information on different ways that you can serve victims of human trafficking. We strongly encourage you to pray and ask God how He is calling you to engage in the fight against human trafficking. Please bring a dish to pass, serving utensils, and drinks. Students do not need to bring anything.
We are also collecting donations of toiletries, paper products, and other items for the Safe Harbor safehouse where former victims of human trafficking live. Some things they always need are: canned veggies, dry beans, box food items like hamburger helper, rice, chicken helper, and fresh fruit and veggies, paper products, laundry and cleaning supplies.
On the fifth Sunday of every month, we put a special emphasis on our Family Assistance Ministry (FAM) offering. All of the money given to this offering goes to help church members who are in need. This offering has had a significant impact on some of our church body.
Join us on the lawn on upper campus for some great family fun! There will be free food, music, games, a warm fire and fun! Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to invite your family and friends.
