Overcoming the Power of Doubt
"And Jesus answered them, Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.” Matthew 21:21
What and amazing promise and at the same time what a sad commentary regarding our faith. Remember, as Christians our faith isn’t in what we can do but it is what Christ can do in us and through us when our faith is in Him. Why is it so easy to doubt? I think the answer to this question is simple. It’s because we live in a fallen world and even though we have been transformed, our minds are still being renewed. The unfortunate thing is the main reason why we struggle in our faith or struggle with experiencing more of God is because we doubt. The “Father of lies” is extremely crafty in lulling us into a slumber of doubt. The enemy knows that if he can get us to doubt Christ to be at work in our lives then we will ultimately turn to other gods in our life for guidance and care. This Sunday we will ask answer the questions of ‘how susceptible are we?’ and ‘how easy is it for us to slip into a prison of doubt? Once we are there, what is the remedy for breaking free?’ Please join me as we look to God’s word for revelation and deliverance from doubt. Family, I hope I will see you all this Sunday for this important message from our Lord.
Blessings on you all,
